Returning home

 Well today in the morning we had class and then a meeting with Tommi and Anna, where they asked us about how we have been in Finland and different things. 

After the lessons we each went back to our homes to spend the little time we had left in Tampere.

At 16:00 we headed to the airport and from there we all said goodbye to our families and our colleagues in Finland.

If I had the opportunity to go on Erasmus I would take it without hesitation, I am very grateful to the family I have been given and the people I have met in Finland.

last night In Tampere

 Today, after school, we headed to a mall to get some food for the trip that await us tomorrow, and then, we went to a concert where Lenni, one of our Erasmus partners had to play chelo in.

After the concert we visited one of the places where Kummele recorded a sketch, and a famous staircase that seems like a stairway to heaven; it was enormous.

Then we went to eat something at McDonald's where we spent quite a nice time speaking about how the Erasmus went.

Finally, we got back home and started preparing our luggage for the trip and taking our last saunas.

Returning to Tampere

 After having lots of fun at the campsite, we finally had to say goodbye and start packing our things to return to our houses.

Some of us decided to return by car, while some others decided to return walking around 6km again!

After arriving, we had dinner and we headed to Rauhaniemen sauna, where we swimmed in cold water and went into sauna which was around 90°C.

At the end of the day, we decided to have pizza so we went to another place and ate while we had a pleasant chat with the Finns.

2 may Tampere

 This day was quite relaxed, we didn't do anything important as such, we went to the music hall where we did several concerts and after class we went to PRISMA to buy food for the campsite.

In the afternoon I watched legally blonde with my family and then we played some board games.

May 3 in Tampere

Today, Saturday, we decided to venture out and go camping!

Once we arrived at the forest, we took a really cool 6km walk to get to our campsite, and what a journey it was! It was raining on some parts of the road, other parts we had to go on our knees to get through and in others the road was partially flooded.

After the hike, we arrived at the campsite, where we knew the journey was worth it. The campsite is located on a huge, beautiful lake. At the campsite, we cooked some. We made some macaroni and cheese with sausage for lunch! 

We also learned how to chop wood with an axe and enjoy nature. Finally, we went to the bonfire to eat some marshmallows.

1st of May; Vappu fest

 Today, in the first of May, Finland celebrates the Vappu; a festival focused on the new university students. Of course this was a chance we could not let go, so we headed to the center of Tampere, there we saw from student parades, flea markets, concerts... And the most surprising thing for us, Spaniards, the dipping of the first year students in the cold water of Tampere's river. Also we had lunch in an old palace with lots of Finnish typical foods, we even ate that much that we didn't had dinner.

Day before 1st of May in Tampere

It was a regular Wednesday day, at least that's what we thought. We woke up, had breakfast and went to school, were we attended a 3D-Modelling class and a Geography class. After that, some of us came back home with our partners while some others stayed at school.

We had dinner and after that, we played some board games known here in Finland.

In the evening, our partners brought us to the city center, where a lot of students celebrated the MayDay, which is a quite known festivity in Finland.

After some time, we decided that it was enough for that day since we were all really exhausted, and we decided to return home for that day.

One week since we arrived in Tampere

 We've already been in Finland for a week. Today is our second Tuesday and this is what we have done.

In the morning, we were in the school being in our respective classes. The most notable were the Finnish as a second language classes, where we could see how many foreigners want to learn Finnish. 

In the afternoon, Mario and Álvaro stayed in music class and enjoyed playing some songs.

In the afternoon to celebrate our week in Finland, we went to the sauna where we were doing sauna in a lake, it was a unique experience!

Monday day in Tampere

 Well today we had a bit of a day off, we were supposed to have a class with each of our Erasmus students but most of them had exams and we couldn't get in. 

In Spain there was a blackout and we were very busy trying to contact our families, we didn't hear anything from our families until 7pm. 

In the evening we went to a shopping centre and spent the afternoon eating ice cream and doing some shopping.

Sunday in Tampere

 Today, it was quite a familiar day you could say; we spent the whole day hanging out with our families. I went for a walk in the woods and then did a tour around the national tv broadcast facility, where Lenni's father works. Álvaro went to the high school gym with Petri to play some volleyball. Claudia went to do some shopping around the city centre and Leire assisted Sini's basketball match. We all had a great time with our Erasmus families.
