Today, in the first of May, Finland celebrates the Vappu; a festival focused on the new university students. Of course this was a chance we could not let go, so we headed to the center of Tampere, there we saw from student parades, flea markets, concerts... And the most surprising thing for us, Spaniards, the dipping of the first year students in the cold water of Tampere's river. Also we had lunch in an old palace with lots of Finnish typical foods, we even ate that much that we didn't had dinner.
This blog shows the experience of four students from IES Pino Montano, who enjoyed an Erasmus+ individual two-week mobility in Tampere (Finland), as an exchange programme with Finnish students. They attended Tampereen teknillinen lukio and stayed with their host families.
